Who we are

To De Bone is a digital platform aimed at connecting Caribbean youth in the UK with their heritage, culture, and each other. We seek to fill a void in British media, where the experiences, cultures, and contributions of Caribbean people are represented and taught to younger generations

The name To De Bone is a direct reference to the Caribbean expression “to de bone” as well as Trinidadian calypsonian David Rudder’s iconic song Trini 2 De Bone. The phrase, a Caribbean variation of the English phrase “to the core,” is commonly used to express an individuals deep-rooted identity, pride, and an unwavering connection to one’s homeland.
